| Yvonne Graham Came up with the idea for this guidebook. She connected and cajoled the all-star-ladies-anglers and compiled and edited. She is serving her second term as President of the International Women Fly Fishers. As co-director of the National Coalition of Marine Conservation — West Coast, she helped the effort to ban drift gill nets off California. Yvonne and her husband established the Friends of Fishing Foundation that introduces under-privileged children to sportfishing. The two also own and operate the Orvis-endorsed company, Baja on the Fly, one of the largest fly-fishing guide services in Baja. | |

There’s been fishing, too. Yvonne was the first woman to catch a striped marlin on both 8 and 12 lb. test lines. She is a three-time IGFA world record holder and twice received the coveted 10-1 Award. She was Angler of the Year at Southwestern Yacht Club, and won the Ultra Light Tackle Award from The Marlin Club of San Diego, among other honors. Yvonne and husband Gary (author of Gary Graham’s No Nonsense Guide To Fly Fishing Southern Baja) live part time in San Diego and most of the time in East Cape, Baja. |
